President Obama: The debate over the debt ceiling has nothing to do with Social Security. Offering cuts to Social Security is wrong for many reasons. It's bad politics. It's disingenuous -- it leads many Americans to incorrectly believe that Social Security is to blame for the debt crisis. It's unjust to threaten the benefits that millions of Americans depend on.
